So, it is 2:40 in the afternoon and we are still sitting in the Memphis airport. We were supposed to leave at 9:20 this morning. We got here and we delayed due to a maintenance issue. At 10ish we are on the plane. Greg had gotten up graded to first class, which he promptly gave to me. There were 6 open places up front. We tried everything on the ground to get another ticket up front to no avail. After we got in the air, the flight attendant let Greg "come on up front". After about 40 minutes in the air, the pilot informs us we are going back to MEMPHIS. Seems our maintenance issue is back.
Next we are booked on a flight leaving at 4 with a layover in Philly getting into NY around 9. Greg started looking around on the net and found another flight leaving at 2:15 straight to NY and was able to get 2 first class tickets for all our trouble today. Got down to the gate and lo and behold we are delayed again. We are supposed to leave at 3:30. We'll see.........
