No title really

Becky left yesterday. She had been here for a long/short time. I couldn't believe it when she said it was time to go to Champaign. It seemed as thou she had been here just a few days instead of 10 or so. It is always that way after my girls leave. Too bad we don't have the technology to "beam me up"so I could see them when ever I wanted.

Making a shirt for Tucker. The parts are soooo small. After much angst over the collar, I finally decided this is not for a fashion show and he will not care if the collar doesn't look out of the store. Bigger collars are much easier. The next shirt I make will be much easier. Don't have much experience making little boys clothes.

My sister in law Alec ya is having a c-section on June 6-I will be going on June 11 to help her out. She doesn't really have any female persons around to help her. She and her mother are not very close and she has no sisters. My other sister in law Wendy, I am sure will keep Abby-the first daugher-when Aylecya is in hospital, but she has 3 children of her own to corral.

Howard is taking paternal leave and will be off for a month, but "bless his heart" he doesn't really "do" the house stuff very well. I figure he can take care of Abby until I get up in the morning and then I can go the cooking and cleaning a such while Alecya takes care of the the new baby. It is a girl by the way. Alecya is such a wonderful lady. So hospitable , if I can just keep her taking care of the baby and not worrying about me. She and I have talked about it, so, I hope she can relax and worry. I will be there for 8 days.

I am so looking forward to July when I get to see Jenn, Ryan and Tucker. We are meeting up in Vancouver for a vacation together. Ryan's mom, Jo, is letting us stay at her house while we are there. Jo and Mike are great people. Jenn tells me there is an awesome rose garden she wants to show me. I can hardy wait.

Greg is in serious training for his climbs.I added up the total pounds of one of his workouts on just 3 parts of his legs the other day. He had lifted over 13 tons. Wow. In July, he will be climbing Mt.Olympus. In September is will be Mt Rainer. These are some serious climbs. There is a part of me that worries, but he is not one to take stupid risks, so I will just pray God keeps His hand on he and Peggy. She is also climbing Mt. Olympus.

It's raining cats, dogs and whatever outside

So, the sky just opened up just as I was finishing up planting some giant zinnias out front. I only had 5 left out of 18 when it started. Soaked to the skin. Becky had planted seeds in the same spot about 10 days ago, but nothing came up, so I planted big ones. We have gotten them from the farmers market for the last few years.

Wow

So, I just got finished reading a friends blog. She is awesome. Her blog is lifeonpurpose@blogspot.com. I am afraid right now, my blog is just random thoughts. Since I have never really put my thoughts to "paper" before.

Greg is finally coming home tonight. He has been gone a lot this month. 14 days actually. He has got to be exhausted. I have really missed him. I hope that his travel is better in June. Until he gets a person replaced for the east coast, I am afraid it may be this way all summer. I hope not.

I am supposed to go to OK next month to help out my brother and his wife. They are having a new baby.It has presented breech, so the dr. is doing a C-section. Alyeca didn't have to do that with Abby, so she is really going to need the help. It is just really hard to "get up" about going since I haven't seen Greg much. Maybe I can go at the same time he has to travel. We are going to talk about it this evening or tomorrow.

Flower, Gardening and Mulch

So this is one of the reasons I haven't blogged much. Seems like I always miss one of the words. This fog is something else.

For those who care-I corrected the Gardening.

Flower, Gardeing and Mulch

Wow, do I have a lot of garden space. Just finished the front bed-the one with the tree in it-it took 3 flats for flowers, count them 108 little bitty plants. Becky planted the majority-60-of the little burgers. It's going to take 6 cu ft of mulch. Didn't get that all finished-still have to put on one bag.

That doesn't count all the other beds in the front. Without Becca this year, I don't know, it would have been a front yard of weeds. She sure was a help.

Talked with Jenn most of the afternoon. I so enjoy talking with her. It's nice to have the time to talk. We didn't have a lot of just time to talk when she was in college.

Can't decide weather or not to go to the library. I am kinda pooped, but I don't really have any thing good to read. I have been reading a series about a family in England that started in the late 1400's called the Morelands. I am up to the 16th book, and locomotives have just been introduced. Also I want to get some more of Phillipa Gregory books.

Video games

So, Becky left her Wii here for me to play with. I had "used" her while she was here to learn about Mario. She left behind Zelda today. Oh, my, gosh, 3 1/2 hours later I finally quit. I didn't realize how addicting these games could be. I was thinking about buying a Wii, now I am not so sure......I wouldn't get any thing done-well, at least for a little while until the novelty wore off. My mom used to play with Jenn and Becky when they were little. What Fun!!!

I want my girls

So, Becky is gone. She was here for about 10 days, but it seems like only 2. The same thing happened when Jennifer and Tucker were here. The time just flew away. I love being with my family. I love my girls. I miss them very much. I wish I lived close to them. I wish I could just 'tel a port" to their homes when ever I wanted.

So, can you tell, I wish I were near my family? I know I have Chrytal here, but it is not the same as my daughters. So much for this.

A HA

Ha, Becky just helped me AGAIN to access my blog. Maybe now I will blog a little more. Really, I don't think I am a very good blogger. I do better with the spoken word than the written word. I always feel like people are looking at my writing and thinking " what a dumb thing to write/say", but I am going to forge ahead-. More later
